Balise Donates to Cape Charities

To celebrate our Grand Opening, Balise pledged to donate $3.00 for each car wash done during a 4-week period this Summer to 1 of 3 local charities:
  • YMCA Cape Cod
  • Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod
  • Children’s Cove Cape & Islands Child Advocacy Center
Each charity had been guaranteed a minimum of a $2,500 donation, but thanks to your support, Hyannis Car Wash performed more than 4000 washes during the 4-week period, raising Balise's donation to over $4000 per charity! Mike Balise was on hand on Wednesday, October 3rd, to present checks in the amount of $4029 to each charity.

Balise believes that by supporting civic events and community services, we help make our communities better places in which to live and do business.

YMCA CAPE COD
The Cape Cod YMCA believes that lasting personal and social change can only come about by working together to invest in the children, health and neighbors of the Cape’s communities. At the Y, strengthening community is the focus. Every day, working side by side with neighbors in our community to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Financial assistance scholarships keep the Y available for kids and families who need the Y most. Funds from the Hyannis Car Wash Giveaway are earmarked to increase these scholarship awards.

THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF CAPE COD
For over 15 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod has provided professionally staffed programs open to all Cape Cod children, ages 6-18. These programs include homework help, the arts, character and leadership development, and sports and fitness. This includes both their after-school program and summer camp. A thousand children and teens are served year round by the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod. Money raised from the Hyannis Car Wash Giveaway is slated to assist with the Health and Fitness Programs with its three integrated components: mind, body and soul.

CHILDREN’S COVE CAPE & ISLANDS CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER
Established in 1997, the Children’s Cove is a nationally accredited, child-friendly facility to assist child sexual abuse victims and their families. They provide a comprehensive, collaborative approach that includes advocacy, counseling, specialized medical services, victim and family support, and training and outreach. Working with a host of local agencies, the Children’s Cove effectively help deal with the trauma related to child sexual abuse. Dollars raised from the Hyannis Car Wash Giveaway will be used to continue to promote awareness of child sexual abuse on the Cape and the Islands.
